A Network Built to Respond

The Lawyers’ Committee for Rhode Island (LCRI) is a network of volunteer attorneys working together to respond to legal challenges affecting nonprofits, communities, and public institutions across the state.

The Purpose Behind Our Work

LCRI was formed to ensure that experienced legal support is available when government action creates risk for nonprofit organizations and communities. We bring together attorneys with backgrounds in litigation, regulatory work, and public policy to respond quickly when issues arise.

Our work is focused on protecting the institutions and communities that people rely on, and ensuring that legal decisions are challenged when they fall outside the law.

LCRI is a nonprofit public interest Rhode Island law firm dedicated to advancing civil rights and access to justice. Our attorneys work with volunteer lawyers and community partners to address important legal issues affecting people and organizations across the state.
